Bom Malandro Red is a classic Douro blend with a modern twist, made from traditional grape varieties such as Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Roriz. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards owned by the Symington family in Cima Corgo and Douro Superior – at an altitude of around 400 meters – this wine guarantees freshness, elegance, and a distinctly fruity character.
Thanks to the gentle vinification at a low temperature (22-24°C) in stainless steel tanks and a subtle wood maturation in used 400-litre French oak barrels, an accessible wine with finesse is created.
Tasting notes:
- On the nose: aromas of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, complemented by floral notes of cistus rose and an earthy hint of forest floor.
- On the palate: full and round, with juicy plum flavours, a hint of green pepper and soft, polished tannins.
- Aftertaste: freshness and a nice balance.
Food pairing:
This red Douro pairs perfectly with grilled red meat, spicy stews, vegetarian casseroles or a cheese board with semi-hard cheeses.
