Planteray Grande Réserve is a tribute to the centuries-old rum tradition of Barbados. The rum is produced at Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery, located on the Caribbean Sea and founded in 1893 on Brighton Beach.

For this blend, rums from different distillation methods are brought together. Part is distilled in a traditional pot still, including the historic copper Old Gregg's pot still from 1850, while another part comes from twin column stills. This combination creates a beautiful balance between a rich, aromatic character and a softer, accessible structure.

After distillation, the rum first ages in bourbon barrels under tropical conditions. Subsequently, it undergoes a second maturation in Ferrand barrels, resulting in extra round and refined notes.

Planteray Grande Réserve is made from molasses and has an alcohol content of 40%. With its smooth, layered style, it is delicious to drink neat, yet versatile enough for classic rum cocktails.

Taste profile:
Full, round, and accessible, with warm notes of ripe fruit, soft spices, vanilla, caramel, and subtle wood influences. The combination of pot still and column still rum creates a beautiful balance between intensity and smoothness.
