Pure Flavor China Dongzhai Golden Black tea comes from Yunnan, one of the oldest tea-producing provinces in China. The tea grows on the Dongzhai plantation in the southern part of the province. After harvesting, the tea is allowed to wither for at least 10 to 12 hours, during which at least 30% of the moisture evaporates. The leaves are then lightly rolled on a classic Chinese rolling machine and the pressure is gradually built up to start the oxidation process of the young leaves. Once the cell walls of the tea leaves are broken, the tea is laid out and oxidized for 10 to 16 hours, depending on the humidity. After the oxidation phase, the tea leaves are dried on unique vibrating mats.

This tea has a beautiful sweet and slightly astringent taste. The first infusion has an incredible taste, with a mild sensation in the mouth and subtle notes of honey. With the second infusion you will taste a milder taste with clear sweet notes of chocolate.

Brewing advice: Allow to infuse for 2 to 3 minutes in water at 95°.
