Zhoug is a bold herbal seasoning paste with coriander, cloves, parsley and a kick of green chile.

Zhoug became extremely popular in Israel in the early 1950s, in the wake of "Operation on Wings of Eagles", where 50,000 Yemenis were taken away from political persecution. They shared their cooking skills and fresh approach. Now Zhoug is the most popular 'hot sauce' in Israel.

Use:

• Use it anywhere you want a spicy freshness
• Do it with roasted potatoes
• Mix with yoghurt as a dressing or dip for an aperitif
• Spread over roasted cauliflower and serve with hummus
• Spread on roasted lamb or grilled aubergines< /li>
