Sample Eleven SE 7 is a special bottling for rum enthusiasts with extra depth and personality. This special edition builds upon the full and funky base of Sample Eleven Blended Rum, but gains an extra dimension thanks to extended maturation in a former rum cask from Martinique.

When Sample Eleven bottles a new batch of rum, a portion of the blend is set aside to age further in carefully selected casks. Once the cask reaches its ideal moment, the rum is bottled at a higher alcohol percentage. This creates a more powerful and expressive version of the original Sample Eleven.

For this SE 7, the rum spent over 2 years in a cask that previously contained Martinique rum. That rum came from a distillery known for its agricole style. As a result, this bottling acquires an extra fresh, spicy, and tropical touch that complements the round, full, and slightly funky style of Sample Eleven beautifully.

The original tasting notes speak of grilled pineapple, crème brûlée, and soft wood tones. That combination makes this rum rich, sunny, and seductive: tropical fruit, caramelized sweetness, and elegant oak come together in a vibrant Caribbean blend. As the label beautifully sums it up: DOM-TOM meets the rest of the Caribbean in one festive bottle.

This edition was blended and bottled by Kintra Spirits and The Rum Mercenary and was released in a limited edition of 274 bottles.

Martinique Cask Daiquiri
Shake Sample Eleven SE 7 with fresh lime juice and a little simple syrup. Serve chilled for a refreshing cocktail with tropical depth.

Grilled Pineapple Rum Old Fashioned
Stir the rum with bitters and a little sugar syrup over ice. Finish with orange zest or a piece of grilled pineapple.

Caribbean Party Serve
