Sample Seventeen Jamaica was created as a tribute to the beloved Jamaican rum style: aromatic, full-bodied, fruity, and delightfully funky. For this bottling, various “marks” from the same distillery were blended to create a rum with a distinct Jamaican profile and a pure pot still identity.

A 100% Jamaican Pot Still Rum, blended and bottled by Kintra Spirits and The Rum Mercenary. The rum builds upon the “work in progress” that began a few years earlier. After extra aging in ex-bourbon casks, the casks acquired a distinct Jamaican edge, without denying their heritage.

The taste is full, powerful, and complex. Expect a lively combination of tropical fruit, funky esters, soft woody notes, and spicy warmth. The label describes this rum as “aged to perfection” and emphasizes the balance between its Caribbean origins and the influence of American oak. This makes Sample Seventeen both intense and surprisingly accessible for those who love characterful rum.
