Bottega Limoncino is a traditional Italian lemon liqueur whose history dates back to the end of the 19th century. The secret to its distinctive aroma lies in the carefully selected Femminello lemon, an Italian lemon variety known for its delicate peel and high concentration of high-quality essential oils.

The Femminello owes its name to the exceptional fertility of the plant, which can bloom throughout the year. The lemons grow naturally and are not treated. The warm, dry climate and the well-draining soil with gravel, sand, and peat ensure ideal growing conditions.

When the lemons have reached their optimal ripeness, they are picked, washed, and peeled by hand. During this process, the white, bitter part is carefully removed, and only the yellow peel is used, in which the aromatic essential oils are concentrated.

The lemon peels are then steeped in alcohol for approximately 30 days. During this slow infusion, both the natural aromas and the typical yellow color are extracted from the peels. Afterwards, the liquid is separated from the peels, and sugar and high-quality grappa are added. The result is a characterful Limoncino with an intense lemon scent and a full, juicy flavor.

Serving suggestions:
Bottega Limoncino is at its best when served ice cold. Store the bottle in the freezer and pour the liqueur directly at approximately -18°C for a particularly fresh and aromatic taste experience.
