This fresh and dry rosé comes from the Douro region of Portugal and is produced by the renowned Symington Family Estates. The rosé is made with three local grape varieties, each contributing its own distinct character.
- 70% Tinta Roriz, which provides structure, deep colour and ripe fruit flavours, often with subtle spicy or woody notes when matured in barrels.
- 20% Tinta Barroca, which gives the blend softness and round aromas of plum and dark fruit.
- 10% from Tinto Cão, a grape that adds freshness, fine tannins and extra elegance, contributing to a balanced and complex finish.
Tasting notes:
- On the nose: fresh, fruity aromas of raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant, with a light mineral, almost saline scent and subtle floral notes.
- On the palate: fresh, with lively citrus and red fruit notes, a clear mineral note and a clean, balanced fruit profile.
- Finish: Dry, crisp acidity with a light hint of green tea or fennel-like freshness.
Food pairing:
Ideal as an aperitif during drinks, but also goes perfectly with grilled fish, Mediterranean dishes or soft cheeses.
