The smoke of peat has long haunted the history of the Glenturret Distillery. In times gone by, peat played an important role in distilling traditions and records show that Glenturret used peat extracted from Octhertye Estate in the early 19th century.

Glenturret is located in the rare situation that they produce both peated and non-peated spirit from the same small stills at different times of the year. This has enabled them to create this smooth, sweet, smoky 10 year old single malt, which fully expresses its character at 50% strength.
