This Lepanto from Gonzáles Byass is, like all other Lepanto products, something very special. The name comes from the 1571 naval battle at Lepanto, when the Ottoman fleet was defeated by the Holy League. Lepanto is produced in the Charentais distillation process like French cognac, after which it is distilled twice in copper stills. It then rests in selected 30 year old ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks using the Solera process, which gives it its distinctive character and a golden brown color.

Taste: Soft, sweet, notes of dried fruit, herbs.
Aftertaste: Long lasting.
