Discover the GlenAllaChie Meikle Toir The Sherry One 5Y, a masterful creation led by the respected Master Distiller, Billy Walker. Under his leadership, the team sets out on a "Meikle Toir" (which means 'great quest') to artisanally distill and perfectly mature an unparalleled peated single malt in Speyside, the Glenallachie Distillery.

As an independent brand, they enjoy complete freedom to do things their own way. Every step in the whiskey production process has been carefully considered and masterfully optimized to drive the whiskey's distinctive aromatic and flavor characteristics. Premium mainland peat is used for a smoky style with a hint of oak and sweetness. A process of extended fermentation, precise distillation and expert maturation takes the spirit to its peak.

"The Sherry One" is crowned by masterful maturation in high-quality Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry barrels. This creates rich, fruity notes that blend harmoniously with warming hints of peat smoke. Made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, the sweet phenolic content of the whiskey reaches 35 PPM. An extensive fermentation period of 160 hours results in a fruity spirit that is perfectly suited for maturation in the best Sherry oak barrels.

Tasting notes:

- On the nose:cedarwood, cigar box, butterscotch, and mocha, with hints of orange peel, honey, and plum jam.
- On the palate: dark chocolate, smoked honey and mocha, with notes of figs, syrup, caramelized sugar and hints of peat smoke.
