Pink Royal is based on the Pink 47 recipe and is produced in small batches using 12 botanicals. The classic structure of a London Dry style forms the backbone, while raspberries, blackberries, and cranberries provide extra fruitiness and softness.
On the palate, dark and red fruit comes to the fore first, with juicy notes of raspberry and blackberry, followed by the fresh, slightly tart touch of cranberry. The botanicals keep the whole nicely balanced and prevent the gin from becoming too sweet.
As a result, Pink Royal is rich and fruity, yet smooth and accessible at the same time. The finish is round, soft, and fruit-driven, with enough freshness to serve it neat on the rocks or in a Gin & Tonic or cocktail.
The bottle also contributes significantly to the appearance. The broad, faceted shape resembles a cut gemstone or diamond and perfectly complements the “Royal” character of the gin. The pink color enhances the luxurious and festive effect.
Tasting notes:
- On the nose: ripe raspberry, blackberry and fresh cranberry, supported by classic gin botanicals
- On the palate: full and fruity with red and dark fruit, soft spiciness and a subtle juniper note
- Finish: fresh, soft and pleasantly fruity
Perfect Serve:
Fill a large balloon glass with ice, add Pink Royal, and gently pour in the tonic. Garnish with fresh berries and, optionally, a citrus zest. A neutral or slightly citrus-based tonic keeps the fruitiness nicely balanced.
