The 2025 Edition of the Tsunuki Single Malt is the fourth release in the annual “Annual Edition” series and the sixth single malt to be released from the Tsunuki Distillery of Hombo Shuzo Co., Ltd. Established in 2016, the distillery is located in the mountainous southwestern Satsuma region of Kyushu, a region with wide temperature ranges and access to exceptionally pure spring water from Mount Kurata.

This edition is a vatting of malt whisky distilled between 2017 and 2021, with an emphasis on 2020 casks. Maturation took place in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, resulting in a rich, complex whisky with a beautiful balance of sweetness, spice, and a touch of smoky aromas.

The label shows the distillery's warehouse, a nod to the place where the maturation process gives this whisky its unique character.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: Sweet and intense, with aromas of raisins, orangettes, chocolate and malty hints of chocolate-coated puffed barley.
- On the palate: Full and layered, with a combination of the bitter notes of cocoa and the fresh vibrancy of citrus zest.
- Finish: Elegant and balanced, with a soft smokiness (5–6 ppm) and a rich, lingering sweetness.
