The Hart Brothers Caol Ila 8Y Wine Cask Finish is a characterful single cask whisky from the Caol Ila Distillery on Islay, selected and bottled by the independent bottler Hart Brothers. This 8-year-old single malt was distilled in March 2018 and bottled in April 2026 as part of the Cask Strength series.

Caol Ila is known for its elegant, maritime smoky style, and aging in wine barrels adds an extra layer of fruitiness and complexity.

Tasting notes:
- On the nose: peat smoke, sea salt, and subtle medicinal notes combine with ripe red fruit, dark berries, and a soft touch of oak.
- On the palate: powerful and full, with a beautiful balance between smoky Islay intensity and the round, fruity influence of the wine barrel. Think smoldering peat, spicy warmth, red fruit, light tannins, and a hint of dark chocolate.
- Finish: long, warm and smoky, with lingering notes of spices, wine fruit, salty peat and subtle oak influences
