The Plaza del Sol Piquillo Whole Peppers are a traditional specialty from the Basque region of Spain and a staple in Navarrese cuisine. This special pepper owes its name to its characteristic shape, which resembles a small bird's beak.
With their triangular shape, firm skin, and deep red color, piquillo peppers stand out from other pepper varieties. After roasting (traditionally in a wood-fired oven), they develop their signature flavor: slightly spicy yet subtly sweet. This unique balance makes them exceptionally versatile in the kitchen.
