At Flavor Shop, you will find Darroze for those who love French eau-de-vie, refined tasting moments, special vintages, and stylish gifts.
The story behind Darroze
The story of Darroze begins around the table, with Jean Darroze and his restaurant in Villeneuve-de-Marsan. He passed on his love for the gastronomy of the Landes and the eaux-de-vie of Gascony to his son, Francis Darroze.
From the late 1960s, Francis Darroze increasingly traveled to the terroirs of Bas-Armagnac. There, he selected exceptional Armagnacs, allowed them to age further, and bottled his finest finds. This is how Maison Armagnac Darroze came into being: a house that does not simply make Armagnac, but preserves the character of different estates, vintages, and casks.
Why choose Darroze?
Darroze is ideal for those who wish to discover Armagnac in a refined and authentic way. The house is known for its meticulous selection, long aging, and respect for the identity of each cask.
While some spirits revolve primarily around a fixed house style, Darroze showcases the richness of Armagnac in all its variation. A blend can be elegant and perfectly balanced, whereas a millésime or estate bottling allows the character of a single year, a single origin, and a single cask to speak for itself.
