Il Botolo
Il Botolo – Authentic wines from Piedmont
Il Botolo Azienda Agricola is a boutique family-owned vineyard in Piedmont (Langhe-Roero and Monferrato), where passion, terroir, and tradition combine to produce quality wines with character. The estate produces red, white, and sparkling wines that reflect the diversity and elegance of Italy's winemaking heritage.
The story behind Il Botolo
Il Botolo was founded around 2007 by Roberto de Silva out of love for the hills of Nizza Monferrato, one of the core areas for Barbera production in Piedmont. He later received support from his wife, Diana de Silva Bracco, who continued to develop the family project with a commitment to quality and respect for the landscape.
The name Il Botolo comes from the small dog ("botolo") that roams the estate; it has since become the symbol of the domain — a nod to loyalty, character, and conviviality.
The estate is located on the UNESCO World Heritage hills of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato, an exceptional wine region where climate and soils combine to create a rich wine-making tradition.
