Handsaeme Foie Gras is a Belgian family farm specializing in the artisanal production of foie gras, terrines, pâtés, and other charcuterie delicacies on its own farm in Handzame (municipality of Kortemark, West Flanders).
The story behind Handsaeme Foie Gras
Situated on the border of the Westhoek and Houtland regions, this rural farm has been raising geese, ducks, and even wild boar since 1990 to be processed into high-quality delicacies—from the ground up to the final product.
The brand follows traditional production methods, inspired by classic Périgord crafts, but with respect for animal welfare: the animals are fed naturally with grains from the farm's own land and are given the freedom to roam outside without being force-fed ('gavage').
