The story behind Hart Brothers

Hart Brothers can trace its origins in the beverage world back to the late 19th century, when the family was active as licensed victuallers and publicans in Paisley, near Glasgow. In 1964, brothers Iain and Donald Hart officially founded the company as wine & spirit wholesalers and Scotch whisky blenders.

Later, Hart Brothers grew into an independent bottler that selects special whisky casks and bottles when they believe the whisky is ready. That approach requires patience, experience, and a keen sense of quality.

What is an independent bottler?

An independent bottler buys or selects whisky casks from distilleries and markets them under its own label. As a result, you often get a different perspective on well-known or lesser-known distilleries.
