Bladnoch is a Scottish Lowland single malt whisky with an impressive history. The distillery was founded in 1817 and is one of the oldest Scottish whisky distilleries. Today, Bladnoch is known for its elegant, fruity, and at the same time characterful whiskies, made in the heart of the Lowlands.

The story behind Bladnoch

Bladnoch Distillery was founded in 1817 by John and Thomas McClelland on their farm in the Scottish Lowlands. Throughout its history, the distillery has seen various owners, quiet periods, and revivals, but Bladnoch has remained a name of significance within the Lowland whisky world.

In 2015, Bladnoch was purchased by David Prior, who breathed new life into the distillery. Following renovations, Bladnoch resumed production in 2017, the very year the distillery celebrated its 200th anniversary. Since 2019, Master Distiller Dr. Nick Savage has been at the helm of the whisky creation.
