Asta Morris was founded by Bert Bruyneel, a Belgian whisky enthusiast, writer, and tasting organizer. His passion for whisky grew into a professional venture. In 2009, he founded Asta Morris, initially featuring columns, articles, and tastings centered on whisky and spirits.

In the second year, Asta Morris released its first bottling: a Glenlivet 1977/2010. This was followed by, among others, official bottlings of Benriach for Asta Morris. Since then, the brand has grown into an independent bottler with a broad world of whisky, rum, French spirits, and gin.
