Would you like to order a larger quantity?
A Belgian beer calls for something to dip, ideally something with beer in it too. This jar from Smaakgeheimen is a creamy mustard-based dip with white beer as its main ingredient: 35% of the contents. A small 50 g jar, just right for an evening for two or three.
Taste
Creamy, with the gentle heat of mustard and a fresh, light beery note. Turmeric gives it its yellow colour, a pinch of white pepper some warmth at the end. Give it a stir before you start.
How I use it
- With drinks: with cheese croquettes, sausage rolls or cubes of mild cheese on cocktail sticks.
- With chips: instead of mayo, with fresh chips or oven-roasted potato wedges.
- With sausages: with a grilled bratwurst or a board of cured sausage and pickles.
- In a sandwich: spread thinly in a ham and cheese sandwich.
Got this jar as a gift?
Put it next to a bottle of Belgian beer and a bag of crisps, and you've got a small gift that always goes down well. Add the Beer Dip Tripel so the two can be compared.
