Founded in 2014 by Birger Vanacker, Flavor Shop offers a wide range of quality products, 90% of which are food and 10% non-food. A wide range of unique herbs, spices, olive oils and vinegars, alcoholic drinks, sweets and many other products you won't find everywhere. In short, pure flavours that make the difference. In addition, Flavor Shop is 'the place to be' for an original, stylish and delicious gift. The various gift options offer something for everyone and can be ordered both in the shop in Gooik and via the online shop.
How did it all start?
Flavor Shop is a developing business, started as a webshop in 2014, but soon people were stopping by Birger's home to buy products, during open days or by appointment. That gave him the idea to open a small shop in the neighbourhood for a few days a week. At first, he combined this with his regular job, but after a while he made the move to full independence. The shop was open from Tuesday to Sunday and soon became too small. In 2016, he made the move to a larger pop-up shop, where he eventually stayed for 2 years. In 2018, Flavor Shop took a big leap. On the one hand, the shop moved to a beautiful and large building in Gooik, where there is plenty of space for the products, the organisation of workshops, the offices and stock. On the other hand, the web shop switched to a new and even more performing platform.
