Glendronach Peated

In contrast to the traditional unpeated character of the GlenDronach, this particular whiskey is unusually distilled with smoked malted barley. The GlenDronach 'Peated' pays tribute to the peat that was historically used to dry the malted barley in the traditional floor mats during the early days of the distillery.

TASTING NOTES

Color: Vibrant harvest gold.

Nose: A delicious scent of ripe gooseberries sprinkled with cinnamon sugar combined with a contrasting fresh citrus twist. The delicate peat influence gives a smoldering charred wood character filled with freshly ground barley and notes of vanilla toffee.

Taste: Vibrant oak spices and floral shrubs develop into rose hips and barley sugars, all warmed with a hint of white pepper. Subtle peat and a delicate depth and dryness of a glowing campfire.
