It works at home, but just as well at the office or in a student house: graag opruimen, je moeder werkt hier niet, 'please tidy up, your mother doesn't work here'. Polite to start with, with a sting in the tail.

What it says

Graag small, Opruimen big in fuchsia, then je moeder werkt hier niet, with a pink heart, on a bright green tile.

Who it's for

• the office kitchen, if your colleagues speak Dutch
• a shared student house in Belgium or the Netherlands
• anyone learning Dutch

Good to know

• Ceramic tile of about 10 x 10 cm
• Brand: Yett
• Stand sold separately: wood or black for one tile, a duo stand for two, or the gold stand with a little flower
