Betje is the mug that finds its own way out of the cupboard every morning. The pattern is a flower meadow in shades of blue, painted in watercolour, with enough depth that you still spot something new on your third cup.

Betje comes in three designs and they reach us assorted. So I cannot tell you in advance which of the three ends up in your parcel: the same meadow in the same blue, arranged differently each time. If you have a preference, say so with your order — I will look at what is on the shelf.

The outside is matte, and that is not a small thing. A matte mug sits differently in your hand than a glossy one — drier, surer — and it is the first thing people notice when they pick it up in the shop.
