Nordes Gin
Nordés gin is a Northern Spanish gin from Galicia. This atypical gin is made with Albariño wine distillate and fifteen botanical herbs such as samphire, lemongrass, lemon peel, eucalyptus leaves, sage, mint, juniper berries, cardamom, quinine, ginger, hibiscus, licorice and tea. This Nordés gin has an extremely pronounced perfume and is both sweet and spicy with notes of citrus. This very all-round gin is one of my personal favorites! I can't say no to this...
As a garnish I often use some hibiscus leaves (these give nice pink strings in your glass after a few minutes) and some licorice, in addition to the obligatory juniper. Furthermore, you can go about your business with this gin. You can combine it with a sweet tonic (e.g. Fever Tree Elderflower) or spicy (e.g. Fever Tree Mediterranean) or nice and neutral and a bit more bitter with a neutral tonic (e.g. Fever Tree Premium tonic).
