Ardmore
Ardmore – Highland single malt whisky with characterful smoke
Ardmore is a traditional Highland single malt Scotch whisky distinguished by its light yet distinctive peat smoke—something quite rare for whiskies from Scotland's Highland region. This whisky embodies the combination of robustness, refinement, and regional tradition, with a profile appreciated by both new and experienced whisky lovers.
The story behind Ardmore
The Ardmore Distillery was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher near the rural village of Kennethmont in Aberdeenshire, with the aim of producing high-quality whisky for family-brand blends such as Teacher's Highland Cream.
The distillery sits on top of the Northern Railway line and draws water from natural springs on Knockandy Hill, an environment that gives the whiskies their unique character.
Ardmore has been working with traditional production methods for generations and is one of the few Highland producers to conscientiously craft lightly peated whiskies — a style it has consistently maintained throughout its core range.
Today, Ardmore is part of the Suntory Global Spirits family, contributing to its global distribution and modern production capacity.
