Aberfeldy
Aberfeldy – Highland single malt Scotch whiskey with honey-rich character
Aberfeldy is a classic Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the eponymous distillery in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland. Known for its smooth, fruity, and honeyed style, often referred to as the "Golden Dram," the brand combines traditional production methods with a rich flavor profile appreciated by whisky lovers worldwide.
The story behind Aberfeldy
Aberfeldy Distillery was founded in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons Ltd., but the first whisky didn't roll off the stills until 1898. For most of the 20th century, the distillery primarily produced malt for blended whiskies, such as Dewar's White Label, before establishing itself as a single malt brand in 1999 with the introduction of 12-year-old whisky.
The distillery is built on the Pitilie Burn — a pure water spring traditionally associated with alluvial gold, giving the whisky its characteristic golden colour and rich sweetness.
Aberfeldy is located in the Highlands on the eastern edge of Scotland, where the combination of water, barley, and craftsmanship results in a whisky with soft honey notes combined with fruit and spice.
